2026 Celtic Classic 5K
The Celtic Classic 5K is a community 5K run or walk held in Historic Bethlehem on September 26, 2026. The course begins at the Bethlehem Area Public Library, proceeds north on N New St, turns onto W Broad, continues south on Main St to the D&L Trail, follows the trail west for about one mile, then returns to finish at Sand Island. The event serves as the opening event of the Tartan Parade and encourages kilts and plaid; participants are welcome to bring bagpipes.
Registration opens March 3, 2026 and closes March 17, 2026. The stated registration fee is $20.00. Chip timing is provided for participants. T-shirts are available to at least the first 150 entrants. Age-group and overall awards are given, and refreshments are offered both before and after the event. Restrooms and porta-potties are available near the start and finish areas.
Proceeds support Morning Star Rotary programs for local students, including college scholarships, STEM and leadership camps for middle and high school students, international exchange programs between families, and a speech contest with monetary prizes.
