Celebrate Freedom 5K Run/Walk and One Mile Fun Run : Jay, FL
This community race takes place in Jay, Florida, based at Jay City Hall, 3695 Hwy. 4, Jay, FL 32565. The event offers two course options and community amenities.

- One Mile Fun Run (free; optional shirt $10)
The course runs through neighboring countryside and loops around the Jay Elementary and Jay High School campus. The later portion of the route follows a paved road that passes between cotton and peanut fields. The course is described as basically flat.
Awards include trophies for the Top 3 finishers in each of 32 age groups. Overall awards are given to the Top Male and Female Open runners and to Master, Grand Master, and Senior Grand Master categories. There are awards for the Top 3 Male and Female Walkers and for wheelchair participants in both the 5K and the one mile run. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 runners who register; youth sizes listed as YS, YM, YL and adult sizes Sm, Med, Lg, XL, 2xx.
Post race refreshments include watermelon and other refreshments for participants. Proceeds from the event support future editions of the race. Late registration and T-shirt pick-up are available on race day at Jay City Hall. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
