Cedar Park Run Mile Challenge (Fall Edition)

The Cedar Park Run Mile Challenge is a five week series held at Elizabeth Milburn Park in Cedar Park. Organized by the Fit Foundation in partnership with the Healthy Kids Running Series (HKRS), this event is designed for adults of various fitness levels, including walkers, runners, and participants with strollers. The challenge focuses on completing a 1 mile course once a week for five consecutive sessions, allowing participants to track their progress and personal improvement over the duration of the series.

Participants have the option to register for the full five-week series or for individual single-race days. The event is scheduled to coincide with youth running programs, enabling families to participate in physical activity on the same day. Registration includes chip-timed results for all races and a race t-shirt. Those who complete at least three weeks of the challenge are eligible for a finisher medal.

Available participation options include:

  • 1 mile (Full 5-Week Series)
  • 1 mile (Single Race participation)

The series concludes with season awards which recognize top finishers as well as most improved participants. The event is open to anyone aged 18 and older. Proceeds from the registration fees support youth running programs, including equipment and facility fees for local initiatives. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
