Heatwave Half Marathon - Austin
The Heatwave Half Marathon takes place in Pflugerville, Texas, with the start and finish located at Pfennig Park. This summer running event offers a variety of distances to accommodate different preferences and age groups. Participants can choose from the following options:
- Half-Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Half-Marathon Relay (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Kids Dash (50m)
The Half-Marathon, 10K, and 5K events are chip-timed and include live results and awards. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are untimed events. The relay option for the half-marathon allows participants to form teams of any size, though each member must register individually. For children aged 10 and under, the Kids Dash is available, with an option to participate for free if the commemorative items are not requested.
Participants in the timed races receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To guarantee a shirt in the correct size, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before the event. Free photographs are provided to all runners, and ice cream is available at the finish line. A virtual race option is also available for those unable to attend in person at the park, allowing them to complete their chosen distance at any location.
