Shark Week Showdown at Lake Pflugerville Park
Shark Week Showdown takes place on 07/18/2026 at Lake Pflugerville Park in Pflugerville, Texas. The event is organized by Bigfoot Running Company and features an ocean theme with music at the start and finish, aid stations on course, and race tees for participants.
Race distances include:
- Kids Dash - 50 m, for ages 10 and under, not timed.
- 1 Mile - not chip-timed, includes race tee and finisher medal.
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip-timed, awards and finisher medal.
- 10K - 6.22 miles, chip-timed, awards and finisher medal.
- Volunteer then Run 5K - volunteer role then run 5K, limited to first 10 sign-ups.
- Virtual Run - 9.33 miles, virtual participation option.
The 5K and 10K offer overall awards including a Bigfoot Trophy for 1st overall male and female, a Masters recognition pin, and standard age-group awards by mixed age categories. Age groups start at 10 and under and extend in five year bands up to 70 plus. Kids Dash receives a special medal and a post-race treat. Packet pickup is available beginning 1.5 hours before race start and shirt guarantees require registration at least 10 days before race day.
