The Cedar Mountain Battlefield is both a historical Civil War site from August 9, 1862 and a 160 acre nature reserve. The area features a variety of wildflowers and birds, well-maintained trails, and both wooded and open scenery. The park is always open to the public and is used by birding enthusiasts, dog walkers, and runners.
