2026 Cedar Mountain Rally 5k & 10k
The event is a set of timed footraces held at Cedar Mountain Battlefield in Rapidan, Virginia on September 26. Distances offered are:
- 1 mile
- 5k
- 10k (two laps of the 5k course)
The course is a looped route through battlefield and forest trails with no major elevation changes. The 5k course includes two water stations at about mile 1 and mile 2.1; Gatorade is available at some stations. Portajohns will be near the start and finish area. The event is chip timed and runners receive a technical Drifit event shirt; shirts are guaranteed for those registered before September 16 and extras are available on a first-come first-served basis.
Results will be available live via a race results service and a QR code at the event; final results with series points are posted on the Monday following the race. Awards recognize the top three men and top three women overall and 1st and 2nd place in standard age groups from 19 and under through 70 plus. The race counts points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series and toward the Summer Series. A virtual run option is offered for participants who cannot attend in person.
