Cedar Mountain Rally 5k & 10k

The Cedar Mountain Rally takes place on September 26, 2026, at the Cedar Mountain Battlefield location in Rapidan, VA (9465 General Winder Rd). The event is the Cedar Mountain Battlefield Foundation’s first race. The foundation is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that stewards the 160-acre Cedar Mountain Battlefield and relies on donations and event proceeds to maintain, preserve, and interpret the site.

The battlefield is both a historical site of the August 9, 1862 Civil War battle and a nature reserve with a variety of wildflowers and bird species. The area functions as a community park that is always open to the public and features well-maintained trails used by birding enthusiasts, dog walkers, and runners. The landscape includes wooded and open areas.
