Cedar Mountain Rally 5K and 10K
The Cedar Mountain Rally is presented as the Cedar Mountain Battlefield Foundation's first race. The foundation is a non profit, all volunteer organization that serves as steward of the Cedar Mountain Battlefield and relies on donations and event proceeds to maintain, preserve and interpret the site.
The Cedar Mountain Battlefield comprises about 160 acres and is both a historical Civil War site and a nature reserve. The area hosts a variety of wildflowers and birds and includes well maintained trails used by birding enthusiasts, dog walkers and runners. The landscape includes wooded and open areas and the park is described as always open to the public.
