Event Overview

The CCVI Trolley Run is a 4-mile road race scheduled for April 26, 2026. This will be the 38th annual edition of the event. The in-person course goes through the streets of the Waldo, Brookside, and Plaza neighborhoods in Kansas City. It is a USATF-certified course described as flat and downhill.

Beneficiary

The event is the largest annual fundraiser for the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI). The organization provides vision services for children with visual impairments.

Available Events

Participants can choose from several event options:

  • 4-Mile In-Person: A timed race.
  • Untimed 4-Mile Kids Entry: Open only to children aged 10 and under.
  • 4-Mile Virtual Event: Participants can complete the distance on their own.

Strollers are permitted in the in-person events, but animals are not allowed except for service animals.

Logistics

For the in-person race, the start line is at 75th & Wornall, and the finish line is at Ward Parkway & Central Street on the Country Club Plaza. Parking is available at the Country Club Plaza with shuttle transportation provided to the start line.
