CCVI Trolley Run
The CCVI Trolley Run is the 39th annual road race in Kansas City, held on April 25, 2027. It serves as the largest annual fundraiser for the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired, which provides specialized vision services for children from birth through age 21. The event is described as one of Kansas City's oldest and largest road races.
The main course is a USATF certified 4-mile route that returns to the streets of Waldo, Brookside, and the Country Club Plaza. The course is described as flat and downhill. The start area is at 75th and Wornall, and the finish area is at Ward Parkway and Central Street on the Country Club Plaza. Parking is provided at the Country Club Plaza with shuttle transportation to the start line; shuttle pickup details are listed as to be determined and there is no race day parking at the start.
Event formats include in-person and virtual options plus a separate kids run for children age 10 and under. Packet pickup is scheduled in the days immediately before the race on the Friday and Saturday prior. Strollers are welcome; animals are not allowed except for service animals. The event lists volunteer, team, corporate, and sponsorship participation opportunities and maintains results for both in-person and virtual participants.
