Event Overview
The CCVI Trolley Run is the 38th annual running of this event. It is described as one of Kansas City's oldest and largest road races. The in-person event is a 4-mile course that passes through the streets of Waldo, Brookside, and the Country Club Plaza area.
Event Format
The event offers several participation options:
- A 4-mile in-person race.
- An untimed 4-mile kids' entry for children aged 10 and under.
- A 4-mile virtual event.
The 4-mile in-person race is a USATF-certified, flat, and downhill course. The start line is at 75th & Wornall, and the finish is at Ward Parkway & Central Street on the Country Club Plaza. Event parking is available at the Country Club Plaza with shuttle transportation provided to the start line. Strollers are welcome, but animals are not permitted except for service animals.
Beneficiary and Details
The event serves as the largest annual fundraiser for the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI). Packet pickup is scheduled at Fleet Feet in Ward Parkway Center on the Friday and Saturday before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
