29TH Annual CCT Metric Century Ride, Duathlon & 5K
The Cannonballs Cycling Team presents the 29th annual CCT Metric Century weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina, centered at Whitewater Middle School on Running Rapids Road on June 12, 2027. The event combines multiple cycling and running formats and raises funds for local charity.
Organizers offer a full Metric Century and a Half Metric Century with supported rest stops, a guided 15-mile Fun Ride that is not timed, a traditional 5K run, and several duathlon options that pair the 5K run with one of the ride distances. The Metric route includes four rest stops and the Half Metric includes two rest stops. Metric and Half Metric participants will receive SAG support, access to bike mechanics and vendors, and on-course fuel and nutrition at rest stops. The police-escorted main ride starts and concludes at Whitewater Middle School. Timing will be incorporated for Metric and Half Metric rides.
Event registration includes a pre-event shake-out ride on June 11 and a recovery ride on June 13, lunch for participants after the main ride, and a finisher gift for registrants (guaranteed for the first 150 participants). A swap meet featuring local bike shops is part of the event. Registration is non-refundable but entries may be transferred; registration fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellation due to unfavorable conditions.
