Event Overview
The Cannonballs Cycling Team (CCT) hosts its 28th Annual Metric Century Charity Ride. The event features multiple activity options, including cycling and running.
Event Options
Participants can register for several activities:
- CCT Metric Century Ride (approximately 100 km or 62 miles), with four rest stops.
- CCT Half Metric Century Ride (approximately 50 km or 31 miles), with two rest stops.
- CCT 15-mile Fun Ride, a guided route.
- Cannonballs 5k run.
- Duathlon options combining a 5k run with the 15-mile, Half Metric, or Metric Century rides.
Event Details
The main cycling rides are police-escorted and start and finish at Whitewater Middle School in Charlotte, North Carolina. The routes travel through Mecklenburg, Gaston, and Lincoln Counties. This year, the cycling events will incorporate timing. Support and Gear (SAG) vehicles provide support for Metric and Half Metric riders.
Registration Information
Registration includes lunch for all participants and a finisher gift for Metric, Half Metric, duathlon, and 5k registrants (guaranteed for the first 150 participants).
