Caveman Triathlon - Flower Mound, TX
The Caveman Triathlon and accompanying 5K run/walk are scheduled for May 3, 2026 in Flower Mound, Texas at 1200 Gerault Rd. The event includes triathlon categories and a separate 5K run/walk; triathlon categories listed by the organizer include Age Group, Athena (female 165 lbs and up), and Clydesdale (male 220 lbs and up).
Distances:
- Sprint Triathlon: 275 yard swim, 10.8 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- 5K Run/Walk: 3.1 mile course, same as triathlon
Registration for the triathlon categories opens August 28, 2025 and closes December 1, 2025; the registration fee listed is $65.00. Registration for the 5K opens August 28, 2025 and closes December 1, 2025; the listed fee is $24.00.
Packet pickup is scheduled on two dates and locations prior to the event: 2 to 6 pm Thursday April 9, 2026 at Bike Mart, 1451 W Campbell Rd, Richardson, TX 75080; and 12 to 4 pm Saturday April 11, 2026 at Trailhead Running Supply, 2600 Lakeside Pkwy #140, Flower Mound, TX 75022. Additional packet pickup opportunities may be announced later.
Event safety guidance notes that in inclement weather the event may be delayed by up to one hour, the course may be shortened or altered, and the event may be cancelled if conditions become unsafe. Changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director. All participants receive a short sleeve custom tech shirt, a pair of socks from the organizer, and a finisher's medal.
