Event overview
The Caveman Triathlon takes place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Flower Mound, TX (1200 Gerault Rd, 75028). The event is organized by Dallas Athletes Racing and is USAT sanctioned. Race types listed include an age-group triathlon plus special divisions Athena (female 165 lbs+), Clydesdale (male 220 lbs+), and a separate CaveMan 5K Run/Walk.

- 275 yards swim (time-trial start in the Flower Mound CAC natatorium)
- 11.5 miles bike (relatively flat, three-loop route)
- 3.1 miles (5K) run (flat course)
Logistics, awards and policies
Packet pickup is scheduled at multiple locations on April 8, 9 and 11, 2026 (locations include Bear Creek Running Co., Bike Mart, and Wild Fork). All participants receive a short-sleeve custom tech shirt, a pair of DAR socks, and a finisher's medal. The triathlon awards are three deep by age group plus Athena and Clydesdale divisions, with overall, masters and grand masters awards; triathlon awards use chip time. The 5K awards are one deep by age group with overall male and female awards, also based on chip time. The event requires USAT membership or a one-day USAT permit, photo ID for packet pickup, and follows a no refund/no transfer policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
