Santa Shuffle: Speed the Light 10K
The Santa Shuffle: Speed the Light returns for its third annual edition in Krum, Texas. This festive event is hosted at 700 Bobcat Blvd and serves as a fundraiser for Speed the Light, a missions-focused organization that provides resources and equipment to missionaries globally. The event includes several distances to accommodate a variety of participants:
- 10K Run (6.2 miles)
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Both the 5K and 10K races feature chip-timing to provide participants with accurate results. The event encourages festive attire, such as Santa suits, reindeer antlers, or holiday sweaters. All participants receive a finisher medal upon completing their respective distance.
Special awards are presented to the overall male and female winners of the races. Additionally, a prize is designated for the participant judged to have the most festive outfit. Registration includes a race t-shirt for those who sign up by the mid-November deadline.
