Cat's Tail Trail Marathon (September 26, 2026)
The Cat's Tail Trail Marathon is a trail race held in Shandaken, NY. The event is a 26 Miler that takes place within the Slide Mountain Wilderness Area in the Catskill Mountains.
The course is point-to-point and includes nearly 7,000 feet of vertical gain. Terrain ranges from rolling ridgelines to technical, rocky sections. Multiple aid stations are provided along the route and post-race refreshments are available.
The event is organized by Run Wild, Inc. Proceeds support the organizer's land conservation work. A 25% registration discount is offered for veterans and first responders. The event uses the Ultra SignUp Refund Guarantee: participants who cancel at least 24 hours before the event may receive an 80% refund including taxes and fees. Pregnancy and postpartum refund requests are reviewed individually.
