Cat's Tail Trail Marathon : Shandaken, NY
The Cat's Tail Trail Marathon is the 12th running of a trail race in the Slide Mountain Wilderness Area of the Catskill Mountains, based in Shandaken, NY. The course is a point to point trail of 26 Miler distance with nearly 7,000 feet of vertical gain, and it traverses rolling ridgelines and technical, rocky terrain.
The event includes multiple aid stations along the route and provides post race refreshments and event swag. Proceeds support Run Wild, Inc. and their land conservation work. A 25 percent discount on registration is available for veterans and first responders.
The event uses the UltraSignup Refund Guarantee. Participants who cancel at least 24 hours before the event are eligible for an 80 percent refund that includes taxes and fees. Pregnancy and postpartum refund requests are reviewed individually.
