Event overview
The Catch the Leprechaun 5K takes place on March 14, 2026 in Mount Pleasant, SC at Blue Sky Endurance at Carolina Park, 3510 Park Avenue Boulevard. The main distance is 5K (3.1 miles) on a USATF certified, flat paved course that begins and ends at Blue Sky Endurance at Park Bend and follows Park Avenue Boulevard to Darrel Creek Trail and back. The event includes a free children’s category for ages 10 and under (not timed and no shirt or post-race swag). Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course; baby joggers and strollers are permitted.
Registration, awards and logistics
The primary 5K entry is listed at $40; a post-race after party-only option is listed at $10. Finishers who register before March 1, 2026 and complete the race will receive a commemorative coffee mug. Race shirts and finisher swag are provided, but shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations after March 9. There will be post-race food, beverages and live music. Awards include Pots ’o Gold for top overall, masters and grandmasters, detailed age-group awards, team and costume categories, and additional novelty prizes. A water station will be located at the intersection of Darrell Creek Trail and Faulkner Drive. Packet pickup is at Blue Sky Endurance at Carolina Park (packet pickup is available the day before and on race morning at that location). The event proceeds benefit Racers for Pacers, a nonprofit that provides running chairs for people with disabilities. The race policy states no refunds and no transfers to the following year.
