Castle Trail

The Castle Trail, organized by Essex Trail Events, is a self-navigation trail race taking place on May 18, 2025. Participants can choose between two distances: approximately 13.1 miles or 6.2 miles. Runners will receive a written route description on the day of the event, as there are no course markings or marshals.

The race is not a mass start, and participants will be timed. Entry fees are £7 for affiliated runners and £9 for unaffiliated runners, which includes a £3 voucher for the castle tea room.
