Castle Bytham 5K Trail Run
The Castle Bytham 5K is a short off‑road trail run held in the Lincolnshire countryside around Castle Bytham as part of the Castle Bytham Midsummer Festival on 20 Jun 2026. The course follows grassy trails and rustic farm tracks, with marshals positioned along the route. Parts of the route cross private land and are only accessible during the event with landowner permission.
The route is off‑road and across uneven terrain and is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Well behaved dogs are welcome on the course when kept on a short, non retractable lead; runners are asked to be mindful of others at the start and on narrower sections. Junior runners under 11 may take part provided a parent or guardian gives permission and an accompanying registered adult runs alongside the child for the full distance.
On event day there is a registration tent where race numbers are collected, a bag drop, and toilet facilities in the lower field and at the Village Hall. Parking is located on Station Road with signage directing to the registration area. Entry options are available for adults, youth 11 to 17, and juniors under 11 with the listed fee structure for each category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
