Event

Summer Ready Run is organised by Zig Zag Running at Ferry Meadows, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU. The event is offered in either a 6-hour or a 4-hour format depending on the chosen start. Maximum entries are 300. Minimum age is 18 years. Entry transfers close on 28/06/2026 and entries close on 04/07/2026. Entry is subject to the organiser's terms and conditions.

Course and format

The course uses a repeated 5.3 km lap through the forest on gravel footpaths and some grass areas, described as multi-terrain. Participants run as many laps as they wish within their allotted time and may rest between laps. An aid station is provided at the Race HQ/Base Camp on each lap. Baggage can be left on site at the owner’s risk. The organiser describes common target distances by lap count (for example, a heavy half marathon as five laps and an ultra-marathon as nine laps, with options to increase laps subject to available time).

Logistics and facilities

Parking at the park is chargeable. Race registration and the start area are located beside the main toilet block; bibs are collected at registration. The event is cupless, so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. Road trainers are suggested, with trail shoes optional depending on prior weather. A bespoke event medal is offered, with a non-event finisher medal available as an alternative. Virtual entries for medal-only participation are available.
