Summer Ready Run - Ferry Meadows
The Summer Ready Run takes place on Sunday 4 July 2027 at Ferry Meadows, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU. The venue is one of the largest country parks in the region and lies less than three miles from Peterborough city centre within Nene Park.
The event is offered in two timed formats: a six hour option and a four hour option. Runners complete repeated laps of a 5.3 km circuit through the forest. The lap uses gravel footpaths and some grass areas, creating a multi-terrain course. The Race HQ and Base Camp are located at the start and lap point, where an aid station provides water each lap.
Participants may run as many or as few laps as they wish within their chosen format and may rest between laps. The looped course and on-lap aid station allow runners to pursue standard distances such as 5 km, 10 km, half marathon and marathon totals, or to cover greater distances without the navigation or mandatory equipment sometimes required for trail ultras.
Practical details: parking at the park is chargeable; from the toilet block and parking payment machines the start arch and gazebos are visible. There is a baggage area for items left at the owner’s risk. Road trainers are suggested; trail shoes may be preferred depending on recent weather. A bespoke event medal is issued at the finish unless a general finisher medal option is selected. Virtual places are available through the organiser.
