Summer Ready Run - Ferry Meadows
Summer Ready Run takes place at Ferry Meadows country park in Peterborough. The event is organised as time based lapped running with two format options, allowing participants to cover as much distance as they choose within the allotted time.
The course is a multi terrain lap of 5.3k that follows forest footpaths with sections of gravel and grass. A Race HQ and Base Camp sit at the start and lap point and there is an aid station on each lap. Parking at the park is chargeable.
Typical target distances are offered as lap counts, with options to change on the day:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon around 5 laps with options for 6 or 7
- Full Marathon around 9 laps with options to increase
- Ultra distances up to about 12 laps
Navigation and kit requirements are minimal and the format is designed for straightforward logistics. Road trainers are suggested, with trail shoes optional depending on recent weather. A bespoke event medal is provided at the finish unless a non specific finisher medal option was selected. Virtual spaces are available for those who want the event medal but cannot attend in person.
