Piedmont - Cartersville Breast Cancer Boo Run 5K
This event takes place on October 31, 2026, at Hamilton Crossing Park in Cartersville, Georgia. It comprises a 5K race and a 1 Mile Wellness Walk held as part of breast cancer awareness activities during October.
Registration opens June 24 and closes October 25. Pre-race registration fees are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1M walk; race day registration fees are $40 for the 5K and $35 for the 1M walk. Pre-registered participants may pick up packets on Friday, October 30, from 12:00 to 16:00 at the Piedmont Cartersville main lobby, 960 Joe Frank Harris Parkway, Cartersville, GA 30120.
The course is described as a new, flat route within Hamilton Crossing Park. Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween running costumes. Net proceeds will benefit breast cancer patients at Piedmont Oncology - Cartersville. The 5K includes awards for top overall male and female finishers, masters winners, and top three in multiple age categories from 10-under through 70 and over. There are no awards for the 1 Mile Wellness Walk.
The event emphasizes breast cancer awareness and encourages women age 40 or older at average risk, and age 30 if at higher risk, to schedule mammograms and clinical breast exams and to perform regular breast self-exams.
