Cartersville 10K and 5K, Cartersville, GA, October 24, 2026
This annual road-racing event takes place at Dellinger Park in Cartersville, Georgia. Two USATF-certified courses are offered, and proceeds support the Shoes4Kids program. Race timing is handled by Wire2Wire Running using RFID chip technology; results will be posted on Wire2Wire's website.
Distances
- 10 km, USATF-certified course (GA18083WC), starts and finishes on the park 400 m track.
- 5 km, USATF-certified course, loop around Etowah Indian Mounds, finishes on the 400 m track.
Course notes: The 10 km course begins on the park 400 m track, includes a small loop by Cartersville Middle School, then a larger loop along country roads and alongside the Etowah Indian Mounds before returning to the park and finishing on the track. The 5 km course follows a similar larger loop around the Etowah Indian Mounds, re-enters the park, and finishes with a lap on the 400 m track.
Registration and logistics: Registration opens June 28, 2026. Early-entry fees apply through August 15 (5K $25, 10K $35); fees increase after August 16 (5K $30, 10K $40). Online pre-registration closes October 18, 2026. Day-of-race registration is available at higher fees (5K $40, 10K $45). Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled Friday, October 23 at Big Peach Running Co., Cartersville store (402 E. Church St.).
Awards: Overall and masters awards plus age-group medals for both races, and a wheelchair division with top three awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
