Carson Park 5 and 10 / Logging Miles
The Carson Park 5 and 10 is the 58th annual run/walk event held on October 31, 2026, at the Wisconsin Logging Museum (Paul Bunyan Logging Camp) in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The event features multiple race distances on a scenic course in and around Carson Park, with the 10 mile course including a new stretch of trail between Rod and Gun Park and Carson Park.

Post-race activities and amenities include a Halloween costume contest with Scheels and Festival Foods gift card prizes, free tours of the Chippewa Valley Museum for event participants, and free train rides for children in costume while other riders pay $3. All finishers receive a free ice-cream cone from the museum's vintage ice-cream parlor.
Awards and prizes include medals for all kid run finishers, medals for the top three age-group finishers in the 5K and 10 mile, Scheels gift card prizes for top overall finishers, and gift card prizes for best kids and adult costumes.
The Carson Challenge offers a choice of a Carson ball cap, neck gaiter, or pair of ITC socks for runners who complete their first or fastest 5K or who finish a 10 mile within two minutes of their predicted time. Registration opens May 18, 2026 and closes September 8, 2026 for the 5K and 10 mile (kids' run registration closes October 19, 2026). Fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the 5K and 10 mile events and $15 for the kids' run. Race shirts and bib pickup are available the Friday and Saturday before the event at the Wisconsin Logging Museum.
