About the race
Carry Forward 5K in San Antonio is a charitable 5-kilometre event presented by Wounded Warrior Project. The event is scheduled for September 26, 2026, at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium.
It supports the mission to honor and empower wounded warriors through fundraising and community participation. Participants may walk, jog, or run on event day. Three optional ways to show support are offered: carry a flag to show support and patriotism; carry a weight to represent the responsibilities veterans bear while serving; or carry another person to symbolize one warrior carrying another in their time of need. Registration options include individual entries and team entries called squads.
Registered participants count, fundraising totals, and squad totals are tracked for the event. Registration pricing is stated as follows: through March 31 adults pay $45; April 1 through event day adults pay $55; youth ages 6 to 17 pay $25; children 5 and under enter free. Participant kits distributed during event week include an event T-shirt, drawstring bag, bib, and other items; registered children receive a race bib only. Medals are available at the finish line.
