Carrboro Running Event
The Carrboro event features two road race distances held concurrently in Chapel Hill:
- 10 km (6.2 miles)
- 5 km (3.1 miles)
Participants start at McDougle Middle School, located on Old Fayetteville Road. The courses are designed to wind through various Carrboro neighborhoods before concluding with a finish on the McDougle track. The 5 km race has a specific participant limit capped at 250 runners.
The event functions as part of the Le Tour de Carrboro, a three-race series. Those registered for the series must select one of the two distances to complete as part of their participation. Proceeds from the registration fees are designated to benefit Carrboro Area Charities and various community partners. Registration for both distances is set at a flat fee of $35.
