Carolina Thread 8/4Hr - Fort Mill, SC
The Carolina Thread 8/4 hour event at Bailes Ridge uses the Bailes Ridge Trail system near 8106 Calvin Hall Rd, Fort Mill, SC 29707. The event offers timed 8 hour and 4 hour formats on a repeatedly run loop course.

The course is a wide open, non-technical double track formed as a 1.4 mile loop with about 95 feet of elevation gain and loss per loop. There is ample space near the start and finish area for crewing, and participants may set up next to their vehicle.
A single aid station at the start and finish provides organic food options including fruit, snacks, and sweets, plus water and Tailwind. Hot organic items such as protein pancakes, grilled cheese, and quesadillas will be prepared during the event.
The swag bag includes a trucker hat, a branded sticker, a product sample, and other small items. All finishers receive an etched coffee mug, a handmade medal, and a race sticker. Top three male and female finishers in each duration receive custom handmade awards. Pacers are not allowed except by prior case-by-case authorization.
Packet pick up is scheduled the day before the event at a local running store and also on race day at the start and finish location. Registration closes April 30, 2026. The event is organized by BALS Racing and supports a foundation that will direct a portion of race profits to provide organic food to families in need.
