Event Overview
The Carlisle Spring Duathlon is a sprint distance event held at Carlisle Lake District Airport in March. It consists of a 5 km run, a 19.3 km bike segment, and a final 2.5 km run. The two running sections take place on the airport grounds, making them traffic-free, while the cycling portion uses quiet country roads.
Event Details
The event features chip timing. Awards are given to the first three male and female finishers, as well as the top finishers in ten-year age groups. All participants receive a bespoke finisher's medal.
Free parking is available on-site. The airport is accessible from the A69 and M6 motorways. The minimum age to participate in the sprint duathlon is 15 years old by 31 December 2026.
