Event overview

The Carlisle Spring Duathlon is a sprint-distance duathlon held at Carlisle Lake District Airport, Great Britain, on 8 March 2026. The race format is a run-bike-run with the following legs:

  • 5 km run
  • 19.3 km bike
  • 2.5 km run

The event is organised by Carlisle Tri Club and is one of two annual Carlisle duathlons, held in spring (March) and autumn (October). The minimum age for the sprint distance is 15 years old on 31 December 2026. Chip timing is used and bespoke finisher medals are awarded. Prizes are given to the first three male and female finishers and for 10-year age groups.

Course, access and entry

Both runs take place on the airport and are traffic free. The bike leg uses quiet country roads. Free parking is available at the venue. Carlisle Airport is accessible from the A69 and M6. Entry prices listed are £35.00 plus fees for individual entries and £40.00 plus fees for relay teams. Registration closes on 7 March 2026.
