Carlisle Autumn Duathlon
The Carlisle Autumn Duathlon is scheduled for 11 October 2026 at Carlisle Lake District Airport, The Terminal, Aviation Way, Carlisle CA6 4NW. The event is organised by Carlisle Tri Club and is the autumn edition of the club's twice-yearly duathlon series.
The race is a sprint duathlon with the following legs:
- 5 km run
- 19.3 km bike
- 2.5 km run
Both run laps take place on the airport campus and are traffic free. The bike leg is held on quiet country roads. The event uses chip timing, offers free parking and provides light refreshments in the airport after the event. A bespoke finisher's medal is awarded and prizes are given to the first three male and female finishers plus 10-year age group prizes. The Sprint Distance minimum age is 15 years old on 31 December 2026. Carlisle Spring Duathlon has been rated Excellent by BTF.
Non BTF affiliated athletes are required to purchase a race pass from British Triathlon. The airport is accessible from the A69 and the M6; directions via the A689 are provided from major approaches. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
