NRF Capes & Crowns 5K Run
The Neches River Festival presents the 8th annual Capes and Crowns 5K Run/Walk in Beaumont, Texas at 200 Crockett Street. The event includes a timed kids one mile and a chip timed 5K. Packet pickup is available at Exygon Health and Fitness Club in Beaumont on the days before the event and on race day.
- 1 Mile timed run for ages 12 and under
- 5K chip timed by Pelican Timing, 3.1 miles
The course is flat and runs through Downtown Beaumont. Water stations are located along the route, and light refreshments are available before and after the events. All participants receive a custom finisher medal; the 5K overall male and female winners receive an additional prize and the top three males and females in each age group receive additional medals. Age groups include ranges such as 1-14, 15-19, 20-29 and continue by decade up to 70 plus.
Registration opens November 1, 2026. Early registration runs through February 1, 2027 with the following fees: Kids 1 Mile $10 (no shirt guarantee), 5K ages 18 and under $20, 5K ages 19 and over $30. Late registration fees apply after February 1 with higher fees listed for the two 5K age categories.
