Event details
The Neches River Festival presents the "Capes & Crowns" 5K Run on February 21, 2026, held at Tyrrell Park, 3930 Babe Zaharias Drive, Beaumont, TX 77705. The event is the festival’s 7th annual Capes and Crowns 5K Run/Walk. The course is described as flat and will be chip timed by Pelican Timing Services. Race proceeds fund eight NRF scholarships for local students. Water stations are available along the route and light refreshments will be provided before and after the event. Awards include overall male and female prizes and first through third place medals for males and females in each age group. All participants receive a custom finisher’s medal; registrations also include a gift bag and a custom race shirt while supplies last.

Registration and logistics
Early registration pricing applies through February 1, 2026; prices increase after that date. Early fees listed include the kids 1M at $10 (no shirt guarantee) and reduced pricing for ages 1–18 for the 5K. Late online registration runs through February 21, 2026, with higher fees for each age category. Packet pickup is available at Exygon Health and Fitness Club, 6450 Phelan Blvd., Beaumont, on the days before the race; race-day pickup is also available.
