Capernwray Mid Week Series July
Capernwray Mid Week Series July is a weekday multisport event held on 1 July 2026 at Capernwray Dive Centre, Jackdaw Quarry, Carnforth. It is part of a series with additional dates in June, August and September 2026.
Races use the flooded quarry for the swim, followed by an undulating bike route through lanes of Lancashire and a run that includes a loop along the Lancaster canal tow path. Race formats offered include triathlon, aquathlon, aquabike and swim only events.
Minimum age to enter is 15 years. Included with entry are free parking, water safety cover, timing, professional photographs, toilets and changing rooms. Registration location is weather dependent and may be upstairs in the café or outside by the transition area. Briefings take place at the waterside before each race.
Entry periods were open from 12 September 2025 and closed on 30 June 2026. Entry fees vary by event type and swim distance.
Distances and courses:
- Triathlon: 500 m swim, 17.6 km bike, 4.3 km run
- Aquathlon: 500 m swim, 4.3 km run
- AquaBike: 500 m swim, 17.6 km bike
- Swim only: 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m
