Capernwray Mid Week Series July takes place on 1 July 2026 at Capernwray Dive Centre, Jackdaw Quarry, Capernwray Road, Carnforth, LA6 1AD, United Kingdom. The event is organised by T2 Events and is part of a mid-week series with other dates in June, August and September 2026. Entries open 12 September 2025 and close 30 June 2026. The minimum age to enter is 15.
Race formats and course
The event includes triathlon, aquathlon, aquaBike and pool-style swim options. The open-water swim takes place in a flooded quarry. The bike route is an undulating loop through lanes of Lancashire, and the run includes a loop along the Lancaster canal tow path.
- Triathlon: 500 m swim, 17.6 km bike, 4.3 km run
- Aquathlon: 500 m swim, 4.3 km run
- AquaBike: 500 m swim, 17.6 km bike
- Swim: 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m
Entry fees and practical information
Entry fees listed are: Triathlon £35; Triathlon Relay (team of 3) £45; Aquathlon £25; AquaBike £25; Swim £10 (500 m), £15 (1000 m), £20 (1500 m). Registration location is weather dependent - upstairs in the café or outside by transition. A briefing is held 15 minutes before the event at the waterside. Included for participants are free parking, water safety cover, timing, professional photographs, toilets and changing rooms. An optional XCover insurance purchase is available.
