24 Hours on the Trails - Lakeland Trails
Scheduled for 26 September 2026, this event takes place within the grounds of Leighton Hall in the Silverdale and Arnside Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cumbria (LA5 9ST). The event is organised by Lakeland Trails.
The format runs across a 24 hour period. Participants may run or walk when they choose and aim to accumulate time on feet or distance covered. For team and couples entries only one person may be on the course at a time until the celebration lap. Teams can include between 3 and 12 runners. Minimum ages are 18 for individual and couples entries, and 16 for team entries.
The course is entirely offroad, relatively flat and measures 5 km per lap. The running direction will be alternated during the event to reduce dizziness and provide variety. Prizes will be awarded for categories such as furthest distance covered and most time on feet.
