Cape Pallarenda Trail Run
The Cape Pallarenda Trail Run is a trail running event held at Cape Pallarenda with Race HQ at Freemason’s Park. The event offers multiple race distances and uses marked and marshalled trails through Cape Pallarenda Conservation Park.
The courses pass features such as Mt Marlow summit, Smedleys Ridge, the Graveyard Circuit, the Forts Loop, Under the Radar single track, Shelly Beach, Bald Rock Carpark and sections of Lagoon Trail and Freshwater Trail. Terrain varies from technical single track and loose rocky sections to wider fire trails and some flat beach running. The course provides views over Cleveland Bay, Magnetic Island and the Coral Sea.

- 5 km Gunners Salute
- 12 km Brolga Dreaming
- 21 km Heartbreak Half Marathon
- 42 km Mt Marlow Marathon
Race services and facilities include on course aid stations and post race hydration, first aid support, professional electronic timing with a bib plate and chip to keep, on course photography, toilets at Race HQ, and food and coffee vendors. The 42 km distance has a bag drop and multiple water stations. Mandatory safety gear is required for the 12 km, 21 km and 42 km races and includes two compression bandages, a whistle, a space blanket, a fully charged waterproofed phone and sufficient water and nutrition.
