30th Annual Reindeer Run
The Cape Canaveral Reindeer Run celebrates its 30th anniversary in Florida. This holiday-themed athletic event welcomes runners and walkers to participate in a festive environment at Cherie Down Park. Participants are encouraged to wear holiday-themed apparel while completing the course.
The event features a single distance:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
To prioritize sustainability and reduce environmental impact, the race utilizes a cup-less format. Pre-filled cups are not provided at water stations along the course. Participants must carry their own hydration equipment, such as collapsible cups, hydration vests, or refillable water bottles.
The first 450 individuals to register for the event receive a commemorative T-shirt and a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female runners in the masters category. There is also a category for the top co-ed team consisting of four finishers.
Packet pick-up is held the day prior to the race at the Cape Canaveral Community Center on Orange Avenue. There is no registration available on the day of the race, and entries close once the race reaches its participant capacity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
