Canton Fall Classic
The Canton Fall Classic is an annual road race held in Canton, Massachusetts. After 36 years the event retired its original 10K course and now presents new Temple Loop courses for both 5K and 10K distances. The start and finish are located at 1301 Washington St, Canton, MA, in front of the temple.
The Temple Loop route begins in front of the temple and turns right onto Pleasant St. The first couple of miles include some elevation variations. The course turns right onto Sherman St, which is slightly downhill, and then right onto Washington St, which features a significant hill encountered near the finish or at the start of a second loop. The 10K follows the same loop twice, so the Washington St hill will be more demanding on the second circuit.
Organizers note they provide measured courses, official times, awards, quality event shirts, and a post race scene. The event benefits local charities, specifically B'nai Tikvah and the Canton Food Pantry, both 501c3 organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
