Canoe Creek Triathlon & Duathlon - Canoe Creek State Park, Hollidaysburg, PA
This event offers multiple race formats at Canoe Creek State Park in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania: individual triathlon, team triathlon, duathlon, a 5K run, and a 2-mile walk. Courses include swimming, cycling, and running segments on mapped routes within the park and nearby roads.
Distances
- Individual triathlon: 1/2 mile swim, 13 mile bike, 5K run

The swim is an open-water out-and-back course; wet suits are permitted and all swimmers must wear the provided swim cap. The bike segment is a rolling 13-mile loop; helmets are required and participants should be aware that roads remain open to traffic with one section on a major road. The 5K run follows a rolling course with a significant hill toward the end. Water stations are located in the transition area and near the course halfway point. The duathlon uses the same bike and run courses as the triathlon and participants may encounter others on shared sections.
Registration requires an individual entry for each participant; team entries allow one payment for all members but each member must register. Triathletes use timing chips; teams pass the chip between members. Runners must wear their race number on the front; swimmers and bikers will be body marked. A $5 fee applies for bib replacement. Race shirts are guaranteed for the first 350 participants while supplies last. Race packet pickup is available at the Blair Regional YMCA before the event and at the race registration table on race day. Rules prohibit pets and any type of headset; participants found wearing headsets will not receive a finishing time. Awards information is provided with registration materials. Parking areas are designated for triathletes near the transition area and for 5K and walk participants in the field across from the finish.
