Cannon Ballers Shooting Star 5K
The Cannon Ballers Shooting Star 5K is an annual running event held in Kannapolis, North Carolina. The race is hosted at the Atrium Health Ballpark, the home of the Cannon Ballers. The course is unique in that it starts just outside the stadium and concludes with participants running a lap around the bases. The official finish line is located directly on home plate.
This event is one of eight races included in the 2026 Run Kannapolis Race Series. It is organized as part of the City of Kannapolis’ Discover a Healthy Life brand and is cosponsored by Atrium Health. All proceeds from the race are donated to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
The event offers two distinct distances:

- Youth Fun Run (for ages 14 and under)
Registration for the race includes a limited-edition performance t-shirt, provided while supplies last. Participants also receive a game ticket to the Cannon Ballers Starry Night baseball game, which takes place on the evening of the race.
