Cannon Ballers Shooting Star 5K : Event details
The Cannon Ballers Shooting Star 5K is part of the 2026 Run Kannapolis Race Series and takes place at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis, NC on August 15, 2026. The course begins outside the Cannon Ballers home ballpark and concludes with a lap around the bases, with the finish line located on home plate.
The event program includes two distance options:
- 5K
- Youth Fun Run (ages 14 and under)
Registration for the 5K includes a limited-edition performance t-shirt while supplies last and a game ticket to the Cannon Ballers Starry Night game on August 15. All proceeds from the Shooting Star 5K benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation; fundraising listed on the event page shows $56.81 raised to date.
The race is one of eight events in the Run Kannapolis series; registrants who sign up for all eight races by March 28 receive a 25% discount. Group discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Registration terms state that there are no refunds, race management may cancel or modify the event for unfavorable conditions, and registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God.
