Candace’s Cause 5K
Candace’s Cause 5K is a community road and park event held at Cherokee Park in Louisville, Kentucky on May 16, 2026. The event includes a standard 3.1 mile race and a separate free kids 3.1 mile race at the same location.
The start and finish are located at the water fountain by the rugby field on the Scenic Loop near Baringer Hill Path. A hydration station is provided about 1.5 miles into the loop. Top three male and top three female finishers receive awards.
Registration information is stated for both paid and free entries. The general registration fee is $25. Runners who register by May 1, 2026 receive a race-day t-shirt; shirts cannot be guaranteed after that date. Online registration remains open until the event begins and cash registrations are accepted on race day. Packet pickup is scheduled for May 16, 2026 at Cherokee Park.
The event is held on DIPG Awareness Day throughout the Commonwealth and takes place amid Cherokee Park landmarks and points of interest.
