Cancer Warriors 5k - September 26, 2026
Cancer Warriors 5k is the 11th annual 5K event organized by Cancer Warriors Inc., a certified 501c3 nonprofit. The event takes place in Baltimore, MD on the Ma & Pa Trail Head in Belair, with an afterparty at Independent Brewery. All proceeds go to cancer research institutions.
The in-person course is a simple out-and-back that starts at the trail head. Runners head south on the Ma & Pa Trail, after the second stream crossing they stay right at the fork, cross under Route 24, continue to a turnaround near the Tollgate Road underpass, and return to the start. The event uses classic stopwatch timing for the in-person field.
A virtual participation option is available. Virtual runners may complete a 5K on a chosen course anytime during the virtual window from September 1 through September 20 and submit their time to the race director via the event registration site. Participants may opt in for a t-shirt add-on; shirts and signs may not be guaranteed after September 5. Registration pricing increases on September 5.
The event offers in-person 5K entries, virtual "ghost runner" entries, and a donation only option that follows the registration steps but does not require attendance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
