ASICS Susquehanna River Running Festival
The ASICS Susquehanna River Running Festival is an annual road racing event held in the waterfront towns of Havre de Grace and Perryville, Maryland. Located near I-95, the festival provides a scenic route along the Susquehanna River. The event is managed by Charm City Run Events in partnership with the Albert Cesky Scholarship Fund.
Participants can choose from three distinct race distances:
- Half Marathon: A 21.1 km course that crosses the Hatem Bridge.
- 10K: A 10 km course that also includes a crossing of the Hatem Bridge.
- 5K: A 5 km course located within the local area.
A unique feature of this festival is the passage over the Hatem Bridge, which is only accessible to runners during this specific event for the half marathon and 10K distances. The courses are designed to showcase the landscape of Harford and Cecil Counties.
The festival includes various amenities for participants, such as race swag and digital results tracking. Following the races, a post-race gathering is held at the waterfront, offering views of the river. The event is organized in conjunction with local sponsors and the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
