Cancer League of Colorado Race 4 Research
The 30th Annual Cancer League of Colorado Race 4 Research is a 5K Run/Walk held on August 16, 2026 at Washington Park in Denver. The event is an in-person race with on-site day-of-race registration available, though online registration is preferred. Race bibs and participant shirts are distributed the morning of the event at the registration desk.
Registration opens June 17, 2026 and closes July 29, 2026. The listed registration fee is $40.00, and children under 12 receive a reduced fee of $20.00 which is applied at checkout. A personal fundraising page is automatically created upon registration and participants may create or join fundraising teams.
Proceeds support cancer research and clinical trials at the University of Colorado Cancer Center and cancer patient support organizations in Colorado. There is no fundraising minimum to participate, but the event has a voluntary fundraising goal of $100,000. Participants who raise a minimum of $1,000 can receive a complimentary Miracle Mile Poster to honor someone affected by cancer. Miracle Mile posters are placed along the race route and may be featured at other Cancer League events; poster orders must be finalized by August 8.
The race was first organized in 1997 by friends and family of an early participant and continues as an all-volunteer charity event. Since 1969 the organizing group has raised and awarded more than $26 million for cancer research and related services in Colorado. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
