Cancer League of Colorado Race 4 Research - 30th Annual
The Race 4 Research is a community 5K run/walk held at Washington Park in Denver on August 16, 2026. The event is organized by Cancer League of Colorado, an all-volunteer charity with no paid staff or offices, and marks its 30th annual running.
Registration opens online in June and closes in late July for the early pricing tier. Fee tiers apply by date; adult registration options include multiple price levels, and youth participants 12 and under have a reduced fee. There is day-of in-person registration at Washington Park only, and participants may collect race bibs and t-shirts at the registration desk on the morning of the event.
Each registrant automatically receives a personal fundraising page. Fundraising is voluntary with no minimum, though the event aims to raise funds for cancer research and clinical trials at the University of Colorado Cancer Center and for cancer patient support organizations in Colorado. The race has a stated fundraising goal and offers team fundraising options.
The Miracle Mile lets individuals or teams receive a commemorative poster placed along the route when they raise a minimum amount. Miracle Mile posters must be ordered and finalized by August 8. Since 1969, the organizing group has raised and awarded funds to support cancer research and related services in Colorado. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
