About the race
The Cancer Champions Walk Run Roll is the third annual community event held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at River Walk Park in West Sacramento, California. The event offers in-person and virtual participation and supports Cancer Champions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides fitness, nutrition, and mindset programming tailored for people impacted by cancer.
The event includes multiple distance options:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Virtual participation option
Entries include a unisex 50/50 event t-shirt, commemorative race bib, and disposable chip timing. Awards are given for overall and age group placements: the top three finishers by gender in the 5K and 10K are recognized overall and within age divisions; the one mile has overall awards for the top three finishers by gender. Post-race snacks and refreshments are provided.
Packet pick-up is available before the event and on the morning of the event. Free race parking is provided at the CalSTRS building at 101 Waterfront Place, West Sacramento. Fundraising options are offered for individuals and teams, and proceeds support current members and the delivery of Cancer Champions resources to new members.
