Canada Day Run & Walk
The Canada Day Run & Walk is an annual community event organized by Run Regina, held in Regina, Saskatchewan. Scheduled for July 1, the event offers opportunities for both runners and walkers to participate in a celebration of Canada's birthday.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km (run or walk): A clockwise course around Wascana Lake.
- 3 km (run or walk): An out-and-back route to Pine Island.
The in-person routes start and finish on Walter Scott Way, positioned between Wascana Lake and the Queen Elizabeth II Flower Gardens. In-person registrations include access to chip timing, a custom race bib, and professional high-definition race photos available for download post-event. Participants in the live event also gain access to both virtual race options.
A virtual participation window is available from July 1 to July 31, allowing runners to complete their chosen distance at any location and upload their times to an online leaderboard. Registration fees for all participants include a Run Regina swag item and a finisher medal designed by Sticks & Doodles. Digital finisher medals and certificates are also provided through the registration platform. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
