Canada Day Run & Walk takes place on July 1, 2026 in Regina, Saskatchewan. The event offers both in-person and virtual formats, with registration options that provide access to multiple race opportunities depending on the entry type.
Distances offered:
- 3K out and back to Pine Island.
- 5K clockwise around Wascana Lake.
Start and finish are located between Wascana Lake and the Queen Elizabeth II Flower Gardens on Walter Scott Way. All courses are subject to change prior to race day.
Race fees include a locally designed Run Regina swag item, a locally designed Canada Day finishers medal, chip timing for the in-person event, a custom race bib, free high definition race photos available for download, an online leaderboard, and a digital finisher medal and certificate. All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
In-person registrations include access to the virtual races in addition to the in-person event; virtual registrations include access to the virtual races. Virtual participants may complete their distance anytime between July 1 and July 31, 2026 and must upload their time to the virtual results page. Participants are advised to avoid high traffic areas, wear visible clothing, carry water where needed, and keep a phone for safety.
Organizers may postpone or cancel the event if conditions are deemed unsafe; if in-person races are cancelled, registered participants will be transferred to an equivalent virtual race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
