Canada Day Classic : Port Coquitlam

The Canada Day Classic is scheduled for July 1, 2026 at Gates Park, Reeve Street, Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. The event includes certified, measured road races and post-race community activities with awards.

Main race features include certified 5K and 10K courses with chipped timing, finisher medals, post-race snacks and drinks, on-course photography, published results and leaderboards. Live DJ sets are listed as part of the event atmosphere. Podium prizes will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in the primary distances, with prizes provided by partners.

A free 1K kids run is offered as a bibbed, untimed event for ages 1 to 13, and children also receive a finisher medal. The event notes a no-refund and no-deferral policy except for unforeseen weather events or disasters, and it will proceed regardless of weather unless the Parks Board announces otherwise.

Sponsors and partners named include Vancouver is Awesome and Kamino Running Co. The event supports fundraising for Childhood Cancer Canada, with CA$1,345.47 raised toward a CA$5,000 goal (27%).
