Event
The Camp Sunshine Run for the Sun takes place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 in Holland, Michigan. The event is held at Kollen Park beside Lake Macatawa and has been used since 2009 to raise awareness and support for Camp Sunshine. Distances offered include:
- 5k
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The 5k follows the City of Holland 5k Route #3 and will begin and end at Kollen Park. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk also begins and ends at Kollen Park. Route maps will be available.
Logistics
Entry fees listed for the event are $30 for the 5k and $20 for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Limited parking is available at the east end of Kollen Park near the race start; additional street parking and parking in the west area of Kollen Park (near the boat launch) are also noted. Bib and packet pickup will take place adjacent to the starting area at the east end of the park. Participants who reserved a t-shirt size by the deadline may pick up their shirts; a limited number of shirts for later registrants will be available on a first-come basis.
