About the race
Bidwells Cambridge 10K is an autumn road race organised by Muscular Dystrophy UK, scheduled for Sunday 4 October 2026; the 2026 event is sold out.
The event features a scenic closed-road route through central Cambridge, running past landmarks and historic university college buildings and along the River Cam. Marshalling and clear signage are provided on the route. An Event Village is located on Midsummer Common, Victoria Avenue, where baggage services and race-day registration queries are managed.

- 3 km for 9 to 15 year-olds
The 10k is open to runners aged over 16. The 3k is for 9 to 15 year-olds. The route permits running with a buggy and the event can make arrangements for wheelchair users and other accessibility needs on request. Entries receive a bespoke medal and branded items at the finish, and chip-timed results are issued after the race.
All 10k races are licensed by Run Britain and the event works with RunEvents, the licensing partner for England Athletics. The Bidwells Cambridge 10k has previously received a bronze award for Best 10k in East England in 2019 and 2020. The organisers operate a zero-tolerance policy on abuse and harassment to ensure a safe and respectful environment for participants, volunteers, staff and spectators.
