Callow
Callow is a provisional fell race held on Sunday, 15 November 2026, with headquarters and registration at Little Stretton Village Hall. The event is WFRA registered and listed in the Winter Series after previously being run in summer.
The route covers 8.1 km with approximately 762 m of ascent. The course starts near Little Stretton, climbs four steep valley sections and finishes with a downhill section after the final climb. There will be a cut off at Ashes Hollow, set for 1 hour 15 minutes after the start of the race; runners outside this cut off will be asked to make their way back and report to the finish via Ashes Hollow.
Entry is available by pre-entry via SI entries at a fee of £8.00, with a limited number of on-the-day entries at £10.00. Full WFRA kit is mandatory, including waterproof top and trousers with taped seams, hat, gloves, compass, whistle, map, food and drink as needed, and a means to carry kit such as a bumbag or rucksack. GPS is not permitted for navigation.
There will be a limited number of marshals, so previous fell running experience or mountain skills is recommended. Prizes are offered for first, second and third placed men and women. Parking is restricted; participants are asked to use designated car parks and to avoid parking near the church or in pub car parks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
