Event Overview
The Call of the Wild Half Marathon & 5 Mile is an inaugural trail running event taking place in Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen, California. The courses run through the historic Beauty Ranch, where author Jack London lived and wrote.
Course Details
The trail run starts and finishes in the picnic area next to the London Cottage. The route passes the ranch's famous concrete silos, offers vineyard views, and goes into hillsides with native trees and grassy meadows on Sonoma Mountain. The event has a course cut-off time of 3.5 hours. Hikers and walkers are welcome.

Participant Information
Bib numbers are mailed to participants two weeks before the event. Athlete check-in for bib pickup or distance changes is available on race day morning. The park charges a $10 vehicle parking fee.
Aid stations are provided on the courses, and carrying personal water is highly recommended. For safety on narrow trails with steep drop-offs, the use of headphones or other audio devices is not allowed.
Registration & Policies
Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. A rollover credit option (minus a fee) is available for cancellations requested by a specific date. T-shirts are provided for all participants. Finisher medals are awarded to all Half Marathon finishers. Personalized award ribbons for the top three finishers in each age group are mailed after the event.
