Event overview
The Call My Name 5K takes place on February 22, 2026, at Clemson, SC (Carillon Garden, 101 Calhoun Drive, Clemson, SC 29634). This is the 4th annual Call My Name 5K. The event tours the Clemson University campus and pays tribute to predominantly Black convicted laborers, ages 14 to 67, who were leased from the state penitentiary to build the school between 1890 and 1914. Those laborers helped construct Sikes Hall, Tillman Hall/Old Main, Trustee House, and Hardin Hall, and they cleared land and built roads, sidewalks, and a dike on campus.

Awards and categories
Awards are given for Overall Male and Female (top 3) and Masters Male and Female (top 3). Age-group awards (top 1) are offered for Male and Female in these groups: 15 & Under; 16-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75 & Older.
Purpose and project
