Anderson Area YMCA Reindeer Run
The Anderson Area YMCA Reindeer Run takes place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, in Anderson, South Carolina, at 201 East Reed Road. The event offers the following distances:

Registration for the event includes a long sleeve Reindeer Run shirt. Participants who register by November 9 may be more likely to receive a guaranteed shirt size, as sizes and quantities may be limited. Packet pick up is scheduled for the day before the race and on the morning of the event at the Anderson Area YMCA front entrance under the awning. All registration is handled through RunSignUp.com; there will be no in person race day registration.
The event includes an elementary school competition with two cash awards of $500: one for the school with the highest percentage of participation and one for the school with the highest number of participants. Schools must be selected under the Join a Team option and participants must be registered by November 23 to count toward the competition.
Awards are presented immediately after each event in the YMCA lobby near the Christmas tree and Youth Wellness area. Results and awards are based on chip time because the event uses a rolling start. The 1 Mile and 5K both include overall awards and age group medals. Multi event discounts are applied at the end of registration for those who choose multiple races.
