Event information
The Anderson Area YMCA Reindeer Run takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in Anderson, SC at 201 East Reed Road, 29621. The event offers two distances:
- 1 Mile
- 5K
Registration for the 1 Mile is listed at $25 and for the 5K at $30. Multi-event discounts are applied at the end of registration. Registration prices increase after November 30, 2025. A long sleeve Reindeer Run shirt is included with registration; registering by November 10 at noon is required to guarantee a shirt.
Registration, routes and awards
All registration, including race day registration, is conducted through RunSignUp; there will be no in-person face-to-face race day registration. Packet pick up is scheduled on Friday, December 5 and on race morning at the Anderson Area YMCA front entrance under the awning. Race routes are provided by the organizer.
An elementary school competition will award $500 to the school with the highest percentage of participation and $500 to the school with the highest number of participants; participants must be registered by November 23, 2025 to count. Results and awards use chip time because the event uses a rolling start. Awards are presented after each event under the YMCA awning and include overall prizes plus age-group medals for both the 1 Mile and the 5K. Sponsored by Carson's Steak Warehouse.
