Trail Running at Sadlers Creek State Park
The TALI Sadlers Creek 6K Trail Run is a sports event located at Sadlers Creek State Park in Anderson, South Carolina. The event features two distinct distances:
- 6 km trail run and walk
- 1 mile youth trail run
The course consists of well-groomed, wide single-track trails through natural surroundings. Participants may observe local wildlife, such as herds of deer, while navigating the park grounds. This is a USA Track & Field sanctioned event. The 1 mile distance is specifically designed for youth who are interested in experiencing trail running.
The event organizers cover the park entry fee for all participants. On-site amenities include the provision of coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate for all attendees. Additionally, participants who have not previously competed in a Tri And Like It event receive a supplement at packet pickup.
A portion of the proceeds, specifically 25% of the net profit, is donated to Gateway House in Greenville, South Carolina. This organization operates a Clubhouse Model rehabilitation program that supports adults living with persistent and severe mental illnesses by providing opportunities for social skills, education, and employment.
