Course, rules and amenities
The race is a clothing-optional event held on a one-loop course that runs around the Caliente grounds, along running trails and lakes, and finishes at the foot of the Caliente clubhouse. Shoes are required and sunscreen is recommended. Race participants receive wristbands that identify paid entrants and provide all-day access to Caliente; all-day access is included with race entry. Caliente offers a lagoon-style pool with waterfall plus three other pools and a 30,000-square-foot clubhouse with four bars, a nightclub, and a fitness center. A post-race celebration is held by the lagoon pool.
Organizers do not post participant names or results online. A large race clock is available at the finish for runners to note their time. There are custom awards for the top 20 male and top 20 female finishers; medals are not given. A co-ed locker room is available but participants must provide their own lock.
