Calabash Turkey Trot
The Calabash Turkey Trot is a waterfront road race organized by Coastal Race Productions held on November 26, 2026. The event is presented as the 12th annual edition of the Calabash Turkey Trot and also marks the organizer's 100th race.
Distances offered include:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Three race challenge completing all three distances
Entry fees listed for the event are $45 for the 10K, $40 for the 5K, $25 for the 1 Mile, and $115 for the three race challenge. Finishers in the 5K, 10K and the challenge receive medals and tech quarter zip garments as part of their entry. One mile participants may purchase a race t shirt for $10. The challenge awards each race medal plus a bonus spinning challenge medal for completing all three races.
The 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified and the route will be marked with volunteers, signage and law enforcement support. The 10K course has two water stops and the 5K course has one water stop with water and blue Gatorade placed roughly every two miles. Course safety measures include coned lanes and course marshals.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday November 25, 2026 at the SeaTrail Convention Center, 75 Clubhouse Rd, Sunset Beach NC 28468 from 12:00 to 7:00 pm. Volunteers earn a race shirt and can select a local group to receive a monetary donation, or in some cases earn a free race in lieu of a donation. Registration has no refunds; bib transfers and event transfers are permitted through RunSignUp with a processing fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
