Calabash Turkey Trot
The Calabash Turkey Trot is a community running event held on November 26, 2026 near the Calabash waterfront. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes multiple race distances and a three race challenge that combines all distances in one morning.
Race options:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Three-race challenge that awards a bonus challenge medal
Registration fees listed are $25 for the 1 Mile, $40 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, and $115 for the three race challenge. All finishers in in-person and virtual events receive finisher medals and tech quarter zip tops; quarter zips are included for 5K, 10K and challenge participants. One mile participants may purchase a race t-shirt for $10.
The 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified and the event uses a professional timing company. Course support includes coned lanes on Beach Drive, volunteer marshals, and water stops with water and blue Gatorade roughly every two miles (two stops on the 10K, one on the 5K). Participants in the challenge must meet time cutoffs to continue between races; late starts are not allowed. Dogs and bicycle companion riders are not permitted on course except by approved USATF ADA documentation.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25, 2026 at the SeaTrail Convention Center, 75 Clubhouse Rd., Sunset Beach, NC. Volunteers earn a race shirt and can generate a monetary donation for a local group or earn a free race in lieu of a donation. The event does not offer refunds.
