Calabash Turkey Trot
The Calabash Turkey Trot is a community running event held on November 26, 2026 in Calabash, North Carolina. The event offers multiple race options and a combined challenge that awards separate medals for each distance plus a bonus spinning challenge medal for challengers. All in-person and virtual finishers receive finisher medals and tech quarter-zip tops; the quarter-zip is included for the 5K, 10K, and the 3-race challenge. One mile participants may purchase a race T-shirt for $10.

Registration fees listed for the event are $25 for the 1 Mile, $45 for the 5K, $55 for the 10K, and $130 for the 3-Race Challenge. The event does not offer refunds; bib and event transfers are allowed through the registration platform with a $15 processing fee.
Course and support details note that the 10K and 5K are certified routes. The 10K course has two water stops and the 5K has one water stop, with water and blue Gatorade provided roughly every two miles. Course safety measures include coned lanes on Beach Drive, volunteer marshals, signed routes, and sheriff deputies.
Packet pickup is at the SeaTrail Convention Center in Sunset Beach, NC. Volunteers earn a race shirt and may direct organizers to make a monetary donation to a local group or receive a free race in lieu of a donation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
