Calabash Turkey Trot
The Calabash Turkey Trot is the 12th annual event produced by Coastal Race Productions and coincides with the organizer's 100th race. The event is scheduled for November 26, 2026 and includes multiple in-person and virtual options.

All finishers receive a finisher medal. Quarter zip giveaways are included for the 5K, 10K and the 3 Race Challenge. One mile participants may purchase a t‑shirt for $10. Challenge participants collect the three individual race medals plus a bonus spinning challenge medal for completing all three events.
The 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified and will be marked with signs, volunteers, course marshals and sheriff deputies. The course uses coned lanes along Beach Drive for participant safety. Water and blue Gatorade are provided at two stops on the 10K and one stop on the 5K, roughly every two miles.
Volunteer roles earn a race shirt and can generate a monetary donation to a selected local group or be exchanged for a free race entry in lieu of a donation. Packet pickup is the day before the event at SeaTrail Convention Center in Sunset Beach, NC. Results are posted online.
Additional details: walking is permitted within published time limits (10K 1.5 hours, 5K 1 hour, 1 Mile ~40 minutes), there are no age restrictions though minors need guardian signatures, dogs are not allowed except by approved USATF ADA documentation, refunds are not offered, and transfers incur a processing fee.
