Calabash Turkey Trot
The Calabash Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2026, near the Calabash waterfront. The event includes multiple in-person and virtual options and marks the 12th annual running of this Turkey Trot as part of the organizer's 100th race.

- 3 Race Challenge that combines the 10K, 5K and 1 Mile in one morning
Finishers in the in-person and virtual events receive finisher medals and tech quarter zip tops. The quarter zip is included for 5K, 10K and Challenge registrants; 1 Mile participants may purchase a T-shirt for a low additional cost. Early registration prices listed are $25 for the 1 Mile, $45 for the 5K, $55 for the 10K and $130 for the 3 Race Challenge, with prices scheduled to increase in eight days.
The 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified and use coned lanes on Beach Drive. Course support includes volunteer marshals, sheriff deputies, directional signage and water stops that provide water and blue Gatorade (two stops on the 10K and one on the 5K, roughly every two miles). Walking is permitted within posted time limits for each distance. There are no age restrictions, but minors require a parent or guardian signature. Dogs and companion bicycles are not allowed unless specific ADA approval documentation is provided. Packet pickup is the day before the race at SeaTrail Convention Center in Sunset Beach, NC. The event does not offer refunds; transfers and bib exchanges are allowed prior to the race with a processing fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
