Calabash Turkey Trot
The Calabash Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026 near the Calabash waterfront with packet pickup at the SeaTrail Convention Center in Sunset Beach. The event includes both in-person and virtual options and marks the 12th annual running of this race produced by Coastal Race Productions.

- 5K
- 1 Mile
- 3 Race Challenge (complete all three distances in one morning)
Registration fees listed are $25 for the 1 Mile, $40 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K and $115 for the 3 Race Challenge. Prices increase in 6 days. All finishers in in-person and virtual races receive finisher medals and a tech quarter zip; quarter zips are included for 5K, 10K and Challenge participants. 1 Mile participants may purchase a T-shirt for $10.
The 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified and the route will be clearly marked with sheriff deputies, volunteers and signs. There are two water stops on the 10K and one on the 5K with water and blue Gatorade roughly every two miles. Course support includes coned lanes on Beach Drive and course marshals.
Volunteer roles earn a race shirt and may generate a monetary donation to a local group or a free race in lieu of a donation. Race day photos are provided at no charge. Registration is nonrefundable; bib transfers and event transfers are allowed subject to a $15 processing fee. No age restrictions apply, but minors need guardian signatures.
