Cahaba Medical Care 5K
The Cahaba Medical Care 5K event in Centreville, Alabama is centered at the Cahaba Medical Care Community Center and includes a timed running race and a non timed fun walk. The course begins and ends near 195 Hospital Drive and crosses the Cahaba River twice while passing through the hospital campus, Pierson Avenue, Park Drive, the Bibb County High School campus, Walnut Street, historic uptown Centreville, and the scenic Cahaba Riverwalk trail.
Aid and traffic assistance are provided at several road crossings, and water stations are located along the route. The fun walk is not timed and its participants are not eligible for race awards. The running race includes age group awards.
Event amenities on the front lawn of the Community Center include same day registration at the Cahaba Medical Care tent, pre race check in for pre registered participants, post race cold watermelon slices and a meal, and Celebration on the Green activities with vendors, food, live music, and games. Parking is available in front of Olon Heights Shopping Center and at nearby Cahaba Medical Care and Bibb Medical Center.
