Cades Cove Loop Lope
The Cades Cove Loop Lope is an organized footrace held inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The event benefits Friends of the Smokies, with funds directed to park projects and programs such as historic preservation, wildlife conservation, and native plant and grassland restoration.
There are two course options:
- 5K
- 10 Mile Loop (USATF Certified)
Participation is limited to 750 total runners. The registration fee is the same for both distances at $100.
Carpooling is described as essential to maximize participation. A limited number of reserved parking passes will be available for an additional fee; registrants without a vehicle pass must carpool with a passholder or use group transportation from the Townsend Visitor Center. A handicapped accessible shuttle will be available at the Townsend Visitor Center.
