Byron Fire/EMS 5K Run & Walk
The Byron Fire/EMS 5K Run & Walk is a community athletic event held in Byron, New York. The activities are centered around the Byron Community Park and the local Firehall. This event serves as a fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting the Byron Fire Department.
Participants can choose from specific categories based on their preferred activity:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- 5K Walk (3.1 miles)
- 50 Yard Kids Dash
The 5K events are open to participants aged 8 or older. A commemorative race t-shirt is provided to the first 50 people who register for the event. Following the completion of the distances, a pancake breakfast is served at the Byron Firehall for all participants. The Firehall is located a short distance from the finish line area.
Registration for the 5K distances requires a fee, while the 50 Yard Kids Dash is available at no cost. The event takes place in late July and utilizes the grounds of the community park and surrounding area for the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
